The newspaper edited an article titled "Highest respect to Comrade Kim Jong Il" with a painting depicting the true picture of the single-minded unity of the DPRK's army and people rallied firmly around the party and leader.

The article said that Kim Jong Il was born as the son of Mt. Paektu, grew up hearing the gun report of the anti-Japanese war as a lullaby, developed in depth the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung and made an immortal contribution to consolidating the Workers' Party of Korea.

It is his greatest exploit that he formulated the Songun politics into the main political mode under socialism, it said, and went on:

HE Kim Jong Il conducted energetic activities to develop the world socialist movement.

He protected the socialist cause with his Songun Politics, which is his most remarkable feat.
