It will be held in Pyongyang, Nampho and Sariwon cities, Kowon County and other places. Its participants will compete in dozens of events including football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, weightlifting and wrestling.

Present at the ceremony were Choe Ryong Hae and Ro Tu Chol, officials concerned, players and coaches, youth and students and other people in the city.

At the end of the ceremony there took place a men's volleyball game between the April 25 Sports Team and the Amnokgang Sports Team.
