Workers' Art Group Gives Performance

Pyongyang, April 5 (KCNA) -- A performance was given by the Workers' Art Group of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK) at the Cultural Hall of the Ministry of Railways on Tuesday to celebrate the 23rd anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's election as chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK.

Put on the stage were chorus "Our General Is the Great Songun Brilliant Commander", dialogic poem "Great Devotion and Ponghwa" and other numbers.

The performers sang high praises of the immortal revolutionary careers and noble feats of Kim Jong Il at man who performed the undying exploits for the era and the revolution.

They represented the fighting spirit of the working class hastening the day-and-night advance of the 70-day campaign of loyalty and accelerating the day of a final victory in numbers such as female duet "Everlasting Echo".

Among the audience were Ju Yong Gil, chairman of the C.C., the GFTUK, and its officials and members, and workers.
