Manuel Arismendi, representative of the Chilean Branch of the Korean Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the special committee.

The committee decided to organize events such as a seminar and film show and give wide publicity to the DPRK's reality where human rights are being successfully ensured on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
