The festival will begin from mid-April with the attendance of armed forces organs, commissions, ministries, national institutions, working people of various strata, school youth and children, the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan and other overseas Korean organizations, overseas Koreans and foreigners.

The theme of the festival is "Kimilsungia in full bloom wishing eternal prosperity of the great era of Kim Jong Un".

A work to decorate the festival venue is now under way.

According to an official concerned, an increasing number of citizens have made applications for the festival and preparations for Kimilsungia shows are in rapid progress in local areas.

The 1st festival took place in Juche 88 (1999).
