S. Korean Christians Declare Campaign against Authorities' Sanctions
Pyongyang, April 7 (KCNA) -- The reconciliation and reunification committee of the south Korean Council of Christian Churches at a meet-the press Monday at which it voiced opposition to the unreasonable repressive step taken by the regime, according to the south Korean on-line newspaper Thongil News.

The organization expressed concern over the regime's shutdown of the Kaesong Industrial Zone and the UNSC's "resolution on sanctions" that brought the north-south relations to a total collapse and escalated the danger of a war on the Korean peninsula.

The ministry of Unification blamed the organization for holding working-level talks with the north side over the issues of preventing a war and south-north exchange to fulfill its mission and role for peace and reconciliation, the organization noted, and continued: The ministry's sanctions are a strict control over the NGO movement for reunification and an infringement upon the religious activities.

The organization said it decided to launch, together with all members of its affiliated organizations and the World Church Council, resistance against the regime's anti-peace and hostile "policy toward the north".
