Japan's Organization Slams Government's Independent Sanctions against DPRK
Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- The Japan Nagasaki Society for Protecting Human Rights of Koreans in Japan in a statement on March 22 denounced the government for its criminal independent sanctions against the DPRK.

The statement clarified the injustice of the independent sanctions taken by the authorities under the pretext of the DPRK's satellite launch.

A particular thing to be mentioned is the unrestricted tightened embargo on reentry of all Korean residents in Japan, a serious human rights abuse contrary to international law, the statement noted, adding:

The Japanese government should promote the Japan-DPRK diplomatic relations in accordance with the Japan-DPRK Pyongyang declaration and Stockholm agreement.

The statement brought to light the Japanese authorities' attempt to pull up the DPRK's satellite launch as a "missile launch". This can never be allowed as they denied the DPRK's rights to space use for peaceful purposes recognized by international law, it held.

It urged the authorities to stop at once the independent sanctions against the DPRK.
