A ceremony of conveying the certificates of honorary citizenship took place on April 1.

At the ceremony resolutions of the city government council on awarding the title of honorary citizenship to the peerlessly great persons were read out.

The resolutions said that the title of honorary citizenship is awarded to the peerlessly great persons of the DPRK, expressing admiration and friendship to the Korean people and revolution advancing under the banner of the Juche idea and reflecting the will of the city government and citizens to boost the fraternal ties and solidarity with the Korean people.

The mayor of the city conveyed the certificates to the head of the group of Korean doctors giving help in Koryo medicine.

Present at the ceremony were personages of the city government council, the Ecuadorian Committee for Supporting Korea's Independent and Peaceful Reunification and other organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people and members of the group of Korean doctors giving help in Koryo medicine working in Ecuador.
