Russian Body Terms U.S. Nuclear Threat Cause of Tension

Pyongyang, April 10 (KCNA) -- We denounce the U.S. and its allies' persistent nuclear threats, large-scale joint military drills and shameless sanctions and pressure upon the DPRK for being the root cause of escalating tension in the region.

The Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK said this in a statement on April 6.

Expressing deep concern about the aggravating tension on the Korean peninsula, the statement went on:

Provocations against the DPRK in any form under any pretext will entail strong counteractions and unimaginable consequences.

The Korean people are filled with the steadfast will to protect the sovereignty of the country and the dignity of the nation.

Japan and south Korea and their followers should clearly understand this.

We call upon the peace-loving and progressive people in the world to demand the U.S. stop nuclear threats, joint military drills and lift sanctions against the DPRK.
