Japanese Personages Accuse U.S.-S. Korea Joint Military Drills

Pyongyang, April 11 (KCNA) -- Japanese figures sent letters of request to the U.S. president and the U.S. ambassador to Japan on March 22 and 26 in denunciation of the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle 16 joint military exercises being staged by the U.S. imperialists and south Korean puppet forces.

The secretary-general of the Kanagawa Prefectural People's Society for Promoting the Normalization of Japan-DPRK Diplomatic Relations said:

The U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises are aimed at launching a preemptive nuclear strike at the DPRK and undermining its supreme headquarters.

These are clearly the military provocation against the DPRK and act of harassing peace and security in Northeast Asia.

We urge the U.S. to immediately stop its joint military drills with south Korea and conclude a peace treaty with the DPRK.

The secretary-general of the Kanagawa Prefectural Group for the Probe into the Truth about the Forcible Drafting of Koreans disclosed the scale and aggressive nature of the U.S.-south Korea joint military drills and strongly demanded the U.S. immediately stop its dangerous moves for igniting a war.
