In recent 40 days alone, its builders removed 200 000 cubic meters of earth and excavated 17 000 cubic meters of bedrock for waterway tunneling. And they filled earth of 50 000 cubic meters to lay a cofferdam for the construction of intake dam.

This project is one of the undertakings under the Workers' Party of Korea's grandiose plan for nature remaking.
