The campaign for winning the title of Kunjari Working Class is a high-level mass campaign of the workers in the sector of the munitions industry to preserve the revolutionary spirit of the working class and provide a solid foundation for turning the country into a new industrial state by learning from the work spirit and style displayed by the workers of Kunjari in the 1950s.

The Kunjari workers turned out in the wartime production, true to the call of President Kim Il Sung during the hard-fought Fatherland Liberation War, produced a lot of weapons and munitions and sent them to the front, decisively overcoming difficulties and ordeals in the transparent spirit of devotedly defending the leader and safeguarding the country and the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and hard fortitude, and thus greatly contributed to the July 27 day of victory.

The state will confer the order upon the officials and workers in the sector of the munitions industry who distinguish themselves in the campaign, true to the Songun revolutionary leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Done in relief inside a ring of 37 mm in diameter on the golden five-point star and rays on the background 60 mm in diameter are a toothed wheel of 34 mm in diameter, Mt. Paektu, the holy mountain of the revolution, a machine gun and a mortar. Korean letters meaning "the spirit of Kunjari" are inscribed on a red ribbon on its upper part.
