The festival on the theme of "Kimilsungias in full bloom wishing for the eternal prosperity of the great era of Kim Jong Un" brought together at least 80 units including the armed forces organs, ministries and national institutions, working people from all walks of life and school youth and children that displayed tens of thousands of potted Kimilsungias.

Displayed at the festival venue are flowers praising the great man cultivated by the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), overseas Koreans, foreign diplomatic envoys and representatives of international organizations here, foreign organizations for friendship and solidarity and individuals and members of the society for disseminating and supporting the immortal flowers.

An opening ceremony took place at the Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Exhibition on Wednesday.

Present there were Yang Hyong Sop, Vice-Premier Kim Yong Jin, officials concerned and officials, service personnel and working people of the units which displayed flowers of the sun.

Also present were a congratulatory group of Koreans in Japan for celebrating the Day of the Sun and other delegations of overseas Koreans, overseas compatriots, staff members of the Indonesian embassy here and foreign guests.

Kim Chang Do, chairman of the Korea Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Committee, in an opening address expressed belief that the festival would greatly contribute to encouraging the army and people of the DPRK in their struggle and deepening the good neighborly and friendly relations with the progressive people of the world.

Indonesian Ambassador to the DPRK Bambang Hiendrasto in a congratulatory speech said he deemed it a great pride and honor to participate in the opening ceremony of the festival, hoping that prosperity, happiness, cooperation and firm friendship of the peoples of the two countries would continue with Kimilsungia as a symbol.

The participants went round the festival venue presenting fantastic scenery.
