Kim Hyon Hwan, director of the Institute of Independent Ideology in Americas, delivered a lecture.

He said the President founded the Songun idea in his early years and led the anti-Japanese armed struggle to victory.

The Songun idea has been enriched with its validity and vitality fully proven in the practices of the Korean revolution and the cause of global independence against imperialism, he said.

He added that the north is now making a breach in the old unfair international order while admonishing the U.S. arbitrary practices and irresponsibility of big powers and countering the armed forces in kind.

He continued:

The north could emerge victorious despite all kinds of aggression moves by the U.S. imperialists, root cause of all evils and misfortune, as it was led by President Kim Il Sung and Chairman of the National Defence Commission Kim Jong Il, who carried forward the Songun idea of the President.

Songun Korea is indeed a power of justice which would guarantee the world peace and security on behalf of human conscience and desire.

The DPRK will play a pivotal role in making the world independent, equal and peaceful based on universal justice and genuine truth, not by high-handed and arbitrary practices of the U.S.-led imperialist allied forces and big powers.

Speakers said that the people of the north, rallied close around First Chairman of the National Defence Commission Kim Jong Un, are full of hope and optimism, unfazed by the persistent threat of a nuclear war and sanctions by the U.S.-led imperialist allied forces.

He called on the Koreans in the U.S. to make all efforts for the reunification of Korea.
