Expressing belief that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries would grow stronger, the message wished the government and people of Syria greater successes in their struggle to defend the security of the country and achieve economic development.

Meanwhile, DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Su Yong sent a similar message to Walid Al-Muallem, deputy prime minister and minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Syria.
