The letter said the birth of the great Generalissimo Kim Il Sung was not only the great fortune as it meant the rise of the sun of Juche for the first time in the 5 000 year- long history of the nation but an event in the world history in which the era of independence dawned in the struggle of the Korean people and progressive mankind.

The letter praised him as a benefactor of national resurrection as he brought the joy of national liberation to the Koreans in Japan who lived in tears as a stateless nation and enabled them to be full-fledged overseas citizens of Juche Korea.

As the great Generalissimo Kim Jong Il wisely led the work of Chongryon to brilliant victory while steering the revolutionary cause of Juche as the most faithful successor to the immortal revolutionary idea and cause of the President and took utmost care of Chongryon and compatriots in Japan, Chongryon could demonstrate the honor of being a model in the world overseas compatriots' movement, the letter said.

The letter noted that under the leadership of Kim Jong Un the DPRK is making dynamic progress towards the final victory in the drive for the building of a thriving nation and in the all-out confrontation with the U.S. and the movement of Koreans in Japan has entered the historic development stage of ushering in a new heyday for the happiness of Koreans in Japan and future of their younger generation.

The letter said that the Chongryon officials and Koreans in Japan will more dynamically demonstrate before the whole world the might of Chongryon grown strong under the care of the great leaders this significant year when the Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea is to be held.
