Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung of the DPRK had conducted energetic external activities for global independence, performing great feats for the times and history. In his lifetime he met at least 70,000 foreigners, including more than 400 party, state and government leaders of 136 countries to give precious teachings. Among them was Samora Moises Machel, president of Mozambique. Kim Il Sung had talks with Machel seeking a way for the Mozambican national liberation for hours to tell about the experiences he gained in leading the Korean revolution and construction. They included the matters related to the building of independent national economy, the agricultural cooperativization, the training of national army and cadres, the ideological education of the popular masses and foreign relations. Those state leaders also included Robert G. Mugabe of Zimbabwe. It was in May Juche 67 (1978) that he visited Pyongyang for the first time to find a way for his country's liberation and independence. Kim Il Sung showed him the concrete ways for bringing earlier the final victory in the Zimbabwean people's struggle of liberation and independence. And he gave an encouragement to Mugabe, stating that the Zimbabwean people's revolutionary struggle would surely emerge victorious and the DPRK would assist them until they win in their armed struggle. The President also rendered mental and material assistance to the victorious revolution and socialist construction in Cuba, the Vietnamese people's anti-U.S. national salvation resistance and the economic construction in African countries.
