Among the audience were Kim Yong Nam, Yang Hyong Sop, Kim Yong Chol and other senior party and state officials, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of ministries and national institutions and working people in the city.

Watching the performances together with them were overseas Koreans, the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front, foreign diplomatic envoys, representatives of international organizations, military attaches and members of foreign embassies here and foreign guests.

Put on the stage were colorful numbers including songs, instrumental music and dances by artistes of various countries and overseas Korean artistes.

The performers sang high praises of the undying feats performed by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il who brightly indicated the road to be taken in the era of independence with the bright rays of the sun.

Giving deep impressions were chorus and dance and male solo and dance given by the State Academic Voronezh Russian Folk Choir, dance by the State Art Troupe of Vietnam and song and dance by the Flamenco Band of Spain as they vividly represented the national emotion, feelings and life of the peoples of their countries.

National instrumental duet of the State Art Troupe of Vietnam, piano trio of the Chamber Trio Group of the Khabarovsk Territorial Symphony Orchestra of Russia and other numbers truthfully portrayed the feelings of the Korean people to love the country and add glory to it.

The repertoire also included numbers given by the State Academic Classic Ballet Group of Russia, the Fresco Harmonica Instrumental Group of Malaysia and overseas Korean artistes.
