Christer Lundgren, chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association, Erik Anderson, executive member of the Communist Party in Sweden, and Oskar Molleby, chief of the Swedish Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, were elected co-chairmen of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to hold colorful political and cultural events to praise the revolutionary careers and exploits of the peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu on the main occasions in 2017.
