Thomas Losh, general secretary of the Society for the Promotion of the Relations between Austria and the DPRK who doubles as chief of the Group of Youth for the Study of Kim Jong Il Juche Idea in Vienna, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to hold colorful political and cultural events to praise the revolutionary careers and exploits of the peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu and introduce the DPRK on the occasions of the 105th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung, the 75th birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il and the 5th anniversary of Marshal Kim Jong Un's assumption of the top posts of the party and the state.
