Present at the meeting were Mostafa Jamal Haider, secretary general of the Bangladesh Jatiya Party, Garib Newaz, president of the Bangladesh People's League, the general secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh, the general secretary of the Central Committee of the Bangladesh Communist Party, Khaleq Zaman Bhuiyan, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Socialist Party of Bangladesh, personages of the Bangladesh Institute of the Juche Idea, the Bangladesh-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Committee and other Juche idea study organizations and organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people and masses.

The appeal adopted at the 20th seminar of the world political parties on building a new society was read out and speeches were made by the secretary general of the Bangladesh Jatiya Party, the president of the Bangladesh People's League, the general secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh, the chairman of the Bangladesh Institute of the Juche Idea and others.

They said the appeal reflected the solidarity of the progressive parties and people of Bangladesh with the DPRK triumphantly advancing the cause of independence against imperialism, extending full support to the struggle of the Workers' Party of Korea and the people of the DPRK for defending the national sovereignty and peace and achieving national reunification.

A solidarity statement was adopted at the meeting.
