Japanese Authorities Lambasted for Discriminating against Koreans

Tokyo, April 18 (KNS-KCNA) -- Nam Sung U, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), issued a statement on April 16 denouncing the Japanese authorities for committing madcap hostile acts against Koreans in Japan after a large quake occurred in Japan recently. The statement recalled that right after the large quake in Kumamoto, Kyushu, on April 14 the Japanese right-wing reactionary forces have built up such a dangerous opinion against Koreans that "they put poison into wells" and floated it on websites. This is malignant intrigues of the Japanese reactionary forces to foster sentiment and opinion against Koreans resembling the massacres of Koreans at the time of the great Kanto quake in September, 1923, under the tense situation on the Korean Peninsula, the statement charged. Such a grave situation has something to do with the policy against the DPRK, Chongryon and Koreans persistently pursued by the Japanese authorities for decades, and it is attributable to the fact that the Abe regime has intentionally created hostility and hatred for the DPRK among Japanese and discriminated and excluded the Koreans in Japan, it held. It demanded the Japanese authorities should clearly understand the due responsibility for the gravity of their base racket for excluding Koreans on website and take measure for preventing such racket and legal steps at once. |
