The uprising clearly showed that nothing can break the will of the people for independence, democracy and reunification and that if the people from all walks of life get united to rise up in the struggle, they can certainly defeat any ferocious oppressor and win victory, the article notes, and goes on:

However, the uprising left a serious lesson that the struggle should be steadily waged, not stopping halfway till the final victory is won.

Half a century has passed since the uprising but the desire of the south Korean people for independence, democracy and reunification has not yet been realized.

South Korea is more clearly revealing its dirty appearance as a colony of foreign forces, tundra of democracy and human rights and theatre of rowdyism for confrontation between the north and the south under the rule of the present puppet chief executive who inherited the "yusin" dictatorship.

The present disastrous reality goes to clearly prove that the Park Geun Hye group is, indeed, a horde of pro-U.S. fascist dictators and separatists bereft of reason who put the "yusin" dictator into the shade, the dictator who trampled down the gains of the April 19 uprising.

The south Korean people should courageously rise up in the same staunch fighting spirit as was displayed by the April 19 uprisers and put an end to the history of sycophancy, treachery and fascist dictatorship.
