Message of Sympathy to Ecuadorian President

Pyongyang, April 19 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Tuesday sent a message of sympathy to Rafael Correa, president of the Republic of Ecuador, as regards the strong earthquake that hit the country, causing huge human and material damage.

The message extended deep condolence and sympathy to the Ecuadorian president and, through him, to the government and residents in the afflicted area.

It expressed belief that the Ecuadorian government would heal the aftermath of the natural calamities as soon as possible and bring the living of the residents in the afflicted area to normal.
