Tablet to Honor Kim Jong Il Unveiled at Russian University
Pyongyang, April 20 (KCNA) -- A tablet to honor leader Kim Jong Il was displayed with due ceremony at the Siberian State University of Communications of Russia on April 14.

Written on the tablet are Korean and Russian letters meaning the "University Visited by Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK Kim Jong Il on August 11, 2001."

Present at the ceremony were the president, teaching staff and students of the university, daughter of internationalist Ya. T. Nobichenko, the DPRK ambassador to Russia and the DPRK officials working there.

Manakov, president of the university, said in a speech:

All the teaching staff and students of the university deem it a great pride to work at the university visited by Kim Jong Il during his visit to Russia in August, 2001.

We can now eternally add shine to the honor of having him at our university by displaying the tablet in the run-up to the Day of the Sun, the greatest national holiday of the Korean nation, this significant year marking the 15th anniversary of his visit to the university.

We wholeheartedly hope that everything would go well in the DPRK under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Komarov, ex-president of the university, recalled the significant day on which he was honored to help Kim Jong Il tour the university, saying that he deems it a great fortune in his life.

The tablet was unveiled to the applause of the participants.
