The venue of the festival full of flowers praising the great men was visited by hundreds of thousands of service personnel, working people, school youth and children, many overseas Koreans and foreign guests.

Present at the closing ceremony were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Yong Jin, vice-premier of the Cabinet, officials concerned, those of armed forces organs, ministries and national institutions, members of the association for disseminating and supporting the immortal flowers, citizens, school youth and children, a congratulatory group of Koreans in Japan for celebrating the Day of the Sun and other overseas Koreans and foreign guests.

Diplomas of the Kimilsungia Festival were awarded to Kim Song Dok-led Unit of the Korean People's Army, the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, Kim Il Sung University and other units which proved successful in the festival, people who made contributions to the festival, exemplary cultivators, former unconverted long-term prisoners and other participants.

The diplomas went also to the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan, the Indonesian embassy here, overseas Koreans and foreigners.

Certificates of participation of the festival were awarded to working people and school youth and children and foreigners.

Kim Chang Do, chairman of the Korea Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Committee, in his closing address said the 18th Kimilsungia Festival took place with splendor amid the interest and great expectation of not only the Korean people but also world progressives.

Kimilsungia, national treasure of Songun Korea and pride of the nation, will blossom all over the world as immortal flower of the sun.
