Jongyojo Members Demand Stop to Suppression
Pyongyang, April 21 (KCNA) -- Members of the Teachers Union (Jongyojo) of south Korea held a press conference outside the "government" building in Sejong City on April 18 to demand stop to the suppression of the organization, according to the south Korean MBC.

Stressing the need to guarantee Jongyojo basic rights as a trade union, they accused the authorities of working hard to deprive Jongyojo of its rights by taking follow-up measures.

They urged the authorities to stop at once unreasonable disciplinary measure against leading members of Jongyojo and suppression of it.

They declared that the outcome of the "National Assembly" election was the people's severe punishment of the "government's" moves for "introducing state-compiled history textbooks."
