Japanese Personage Blames U.S. for Escalating Tension on Korean Peninsula
Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- Takashi Nada, representative of the Ehime Institute for Contemporary Korean Issue in Japan, posted on its website on April 4 an article disclosing the true nature of the U.S. as the chief criminal escalating tension on the Korean peninsula.

The article introduced in detail the fact that a spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry in a statement on March 31 denounced the U.S. for making a foolish bid to shift the blame for the tense situation on the peninsula on to the DPRK.

Raising such question as to how the nuclear issue spawned on the Korean peninsula, the article referred to the U.S. introduction of lots of nuclear weapons into south Korea after the Korean war.

It went on:

The U.S. posed ceaseless nuclear threat to the DPRK, non-nuclear state.

The DPRK's access to nukes was attributable to the U.S. hostile policy toward it.

It chose the road of emerging as a nuclear weapons state to protect the sovereignty and vital rights of the country and nation from the U.S. nuclear threat.

Its line of simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force is for building a thriving nation, defending the country and nation from the U.S. nuclear attack and safeguarding peace and security on the Korean peninsula.

The U.S. tightened nuclear threat, military pressure and sanctions on the DPRK would compel the latter to bolster its nuclear force.

The U.S. is chiefly to blame for escalating tension on the Korean peninsula.
