The editorial deplored south Korea having the worst records in the indices of freedom of speech as was made public by the Reporters Without Borders.

This is another shameful record but not so surprising in the light of what has been done under the Park Geun Hye regime, editorial said, and went on:

The regime is to blame for the worst crisis in the freedom of speech and the media should be held accountable for it as the conservative media are reduced to a political force, away from their mission to report fact.
