Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- Coal output has increased in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea after the start of the 70-day campaign. According to data available at the Ministry of Coal Industry, the production plan for the campaign was carried out at 101 percent as of April 20. The Sunchon Area Youth Coal-mining Complex produced 98,000 more tons of coal than the schedule. Coal-mining complexes in Hamnam, Chonnae and Kangdong over-fulfilled their production plan, each by 34, 18 and 12 percent. Also, signal achievements have been made in the coal mine construction. Coal mines in the western area of the country developed new pits, each with hundreds of thousands of tons of capacity, and furnished them with belt-conveyor, winch and all other kinds of equipment. Meanwhile, Tukjang, Tokchon, Sunchon and Songnam coal-mining machine factories and the Unsan Coal-mining Equipment Parts Plant supplied many tubs, equipment parts and small tools to coal mines. |
