Omar Lopez, chairman of the Venezuelan National Society for the Study of the Juche Idea in an article titled "President Kim Il Sung and Juche idea, might of Juche idea in people's struggle" on April 4 referred to the position and role of the leader in the revolutionary struggle and said that the revolutionary idea founded by the leader served as the guideline for the struggle of the oppressed popular masses.

The article said:

The President performed great exploits and, therefore, the Korean people are upholding the President as the great sun.

The Juche idea guides the progressive people struggling for their independent development like a beacon.

Julio Cesar Pantigoso Barretto, president of branches of Chiclayo and Trujillo of the Peruvian-Korean Institute of Culture and Friendship, said in a statement on April 15 that Kim Il Sung is always alive in the hearts of all people, adding that his birthday has been widely accepted as a historic day in the world from long ago.
