Day of Sun Marked at DPRK Missions Abroad

Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- Photo and book exhibitions, film shows, receptions and other events took place at the DPRK missions in Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, France, UK, Kuwait, South Africa, Senegal, Guinea, Equatorial Guinea, Algeria, Ethiopia and Venezuela and at the DPRK permanent mission to UN Office and international organizations in Geneva in celebration of the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung (the Day of the Sun) between April 11 and 14.

Displayed at the events were photos documenting the exploits of Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un and their works, and books and photos introducing the struggle of the servicepersons and people of the DPRK.

Films shown included Korean films "Our Leader Revered by World People" and "Kimilsungia, flower of sun".

A vice-chairman of the Council of the Kim Il Sung-Kim Jong Il Foundation said the revolutionary career of the President was the life of a prominent revolutionary in which he held fast to the revolutionary principle in the confrontation with the enemy and the socialist construction.

The honorary chairman of the Bulgarian Communists Union said the President, outstanding leader of the Korean revolution and the world socialist movement, performed great exploits which served as the banner of struggle of the progressive people.

A vice-chairman and concurrently international secretary of the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist) said the President held high the red flag of revolution and wisely led the socialist cause throughout his life. His revolutionary life is a great example for us to follow, noted the vice-chairman.
