Damian Ogbonna, national chairman of the People's Progressive Party of Nigeria, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to present a message of greeting and floral basket to supreme leader Kim Jong Un and visit the DPRK embassy in Abuja on the occasion of the 7th Congress of the WPK.

It decided to hold a seminar, film show and other colorful events to praise the party-building and leading exploits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and wise leadership of Kim Jong Un and introduce the history of victory and glory of the WPK and the Korean people in their struggle for defending the country's sovereignty and building a thriving nation.
