Won had been sued for besmirching the reputation of the Teachers Union of south Korea (Jongyojo).

Won reportedly spouted a litany of rubbish terming Jongyojo a "left-wing body following the north" and " enemy inside south Korea " when chairing monthly department chiefs meetings as IS chief from February, 2009 to 2013.

Angered by it, the teachers union filed a libel suit with the court against him, demanding reparation in 2013.

The first hearing ruled that Won should make preparation.

But the Seoul Central District Court turned down the ruling made at the first hearing on unreasonable grounds.

This cannot but be viewed as a despicable tyrannical action taken by the court, pursuant to the regime's suppression of the teachers union.
