Present there were scientists, technicians, teachers, researchers and graduate students in the field of basic science.

The presentation was divided into sections of mathematics, dynamics, physics, laser and geography. The participants heard more than 400 papers presented by scores of units such as Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Pyongyang University of Architecture, Chongjin University of Mining and Metallurgy, University of Sciences, the State Academy of Sciences and the State Designing Guidance Bureau.

Those participants from local areas made real-time distance presentations at Kim Jong Suk University of Education, Sinuiju University of Education No. 2, Kanggye University of Agriculture and Forestry, the North Hamgyong Provincial Sci-Tech Exhibition, the South Phyongan Provincial Library, the Hamhung Woolen Mill and the Sariwon Unha Garment Factory.

The participants introduced the successes and experience gained in the research into basic science.
