Minju Joson Condemns Japanese Reactionaries' Visit to Yasukuni Shrine
Pyongyang, May 2 (KCNA) -- Some days ago Japanese Prime Minister Abe and other ultra-rightist reactionaries made ritual offerings to Yasukuni Shrine. Dozens of dietmen swarmed to Yasukuni Shrine later.

Commenting on this, Minju Joson Monday says that it is anachronistic hysteria that Japan is calling back the departed soul of militarism, turning a blind eye to the changed times.

The commentary goes on:

Japanese reactionaries' frequent visits to the shrine are a serious political issue which draws strong protest and condemnation from many Asian countries such as Korea which once suffered from the Japanese imperialists' war of aggression against the continent.

If Japan is truly serious about its bright future, it should make a resolute decision to break with its past, not forgetting the bitter lesson it drew from the defeat it sustained while running wild to realize the wild dream of "the Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere".

However, the Japanese reactionaries are foolishly resorting to the moves to revive militarism, calculating that their way out lies in overseas invasion, still defying the changed times.

In a word, Japan is making a desperate bid to repeat its disgraceful past, far from seeking a wide avenue for future.

Japan should look out to the world with its eyes wide open.

Prosperity of a country and a nation cannot be achieved by invading and plundering other country and nation.

Japan should properly face up to the world, drawing a lesson from its past history of defeat, and stop at once its foolish acts of calling back the departed soul of militarism.
