Japan's Government Accused of Discriminating against Korean Schools
Tokyo, April 30 (KNS-KCNA) -- Hyogo prefectural meeting took place in Kobe City on April 23 under the co-sponsorship of the Korean school in Hyogo and the Hyogo Prefectural People's Council for Japan-DPRK Friendship to demand the instant withdrawal of the notice of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology on suspending payment of subsidies to the Korean schools.

Present at the meeting were teachers, compatriots, students' parents and Japanese citizens.

The speakers censured the Japanese government's unreasonable measure towards the Korean schools, saying that it was discrimination against national education.

They showed their determination to stage protest in unison to ensure the rights of the Korean schools in Japan such as applying the tuition-free program for senior high schools to the Koreans schools.

A letter of protest to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology was read out at the meeting.
