Son Hyong Gun, chairman of the Japanese Regional Committee, said that the heavy defeat of the "Saenuri Party" at the recent "National Assembly" election in south Korea is an expression of the will of the youth and students in the south side to reopen the June 15 era and achieve independent reunification.

Speakers expressed their will to arouse the youth and students overseas to the reunification movement, saying that the youth and students of the new generation should take the lead in the struggle to put an end to the division of the nation and reunify the country.

An action programme of the Youth and Students Council was announced at the meeting.

The meeting adopted an appeal to the youth and students in the north, the south and abroad.
