According to data available, hundreds of millions of trees were planted on mountains covering one hundred thousand hectares, roads extending over a hundred kilometers repaired and scores of bridges newly built across the country.

10 000 hectares of land were planted with various species of trees like Larix lepolepis and pine-nut tree in South Hamgyong and North and South Phyongan provinces respectively and 20 000 hectares of land in Jagang Province.

The same is true of other provinces.

South Hamgyong Province widened a road covering scores of kilometers, while Jagang and North Phyongan provinces finished projects of repairing and widening roads.

Meanwhile, hundreds of industrial establishments have updated facilities of collecting gas and dust from boilers and furnaces and small-and medium-sized coal mines in the Taedong River basin rebuilt their coal yards.
