Brazilian Body Introduces Healthcare in DPRK
Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- The Brazilian Center for the Study of the Juche Idea posted an article titled "Universal, free healthcare in DPRK is most advantageous one" on its website on April 25.

The article said:

The government of the DPRK, which had published during the Fatherland Liberation War the decision on enforcing the universal, free healthcare unprecedented in the world history of healthcare, stipulated free healthcare as one of the basic rights of its citizens in its Socialist Constitution.

Everybody in the DPRK receives equal medical treatment regardless of age, residence and job thanks to the well-regulated healthcare system such as healthcare networks for children and women and Koryo medical service network operating across the country.

Not only all forms of medical service including outpatient treatment, hospital treatment and doctor's visit but also fees for medical checkup, lab work, functional diagnosis and operation are all free of charge. Even expenses for return-trip to sanatoria are paid by the state or cooperative bodies.

Section doctor system is in force, whereby doctors visit inhabitants and healthcare workers are dedicating themselves to patients.

Thanks to nationwide telemedicine based on latest technology even patient far away from Pyongyang receive quick treatment with the help of able medical staff in the capital city.
