Daniel Rugarama, chairman of the Ugandan National Executive Committee of the Pan-African Movement, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to praise the exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un in founding and developing the party and hold the significant political and cultural events for supporting the cause of the WPK on the occasion of its 7th Congress.
