The press statement referred to the contents of the decision made by the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, saying that the bureau decided to hold the 7th Congress of the WPK in Pyongyang on May 6.

It stressed that the Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist) is convinced that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two parties would grow stronger with the 7th Congress of the WPK as a momentum.

The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, Korean Friendship Association UK and the British preparatory committee for the 2017 Meeting Praising Great Persons of Mt. Paektu released a joint press statement informing the decision made by the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee.
