Crimes Increase in South Korea
Pyongyang, May 6 (KCNA) -- Crimes are rampant in south Korea while the victims and others concerned are attacked by the criminals in reprisal for their notification to the police, triggering off an uproar, according to south Korean newspaper Herald Economy.

Retaliatory acts ranging from blackmail to murder are committed in disregard of who and where.

In 2014 stability of the south Korean society has been endangered as the number of crimes soared nearly three times as many as those in 2009.

Experts said that many criminals are beyond the reach of law due to the lack of an institutional mechanism for punishing the retaliatory acts.
