Taking the tribune of honor were Kim Yong Nam, Hwang Pyong So, Pak Pong Ju and other senior party, state and army officials, the chairpersons of provincial party committees and persons who performed labor feats in the 70-day campaign of loyalty.

Present there on invitation were participants in the Seventh Congress of the WPK, officials of the party, armed forces and power organs, public organizations, ministries and national institutions, service personnel of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, congratulatory groups of Koreans in Japan and the General Association of Koreans in China for celebrating the Seventh Congress of the WPK and overseas Koreans, the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front, foreign diplomatic envoys and representatives of international organizations and members of the military attaches corps here and other foreign guests.

When the song "Glory to Our Great Party" resounded forth, youths and students started dancing and portrayed a floral basket on the square reflecting the warm thanks and wishes for the WPK.

"We Will Go to Mt. Paektu", "We'll Follow Our Party Forever" and other songs were played and fireworks were displayed to decorate the evening gala conspicuously.

Then it was followed by the torchlight procession of the young vanguard.

A column of the shock brigade members who completed the construction of the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station No. 3 as another monumental edifice in the Songun era in the run-up to the Seventh Congress of the WPK proceeded first.

They presented figures of Mt. Paektu and red flag and letters reading "Revolutionary Spirit", "Kim Jong Il's Patriotism" and "Love for People", while making dynamic changes of formation to represent the party emblem. They fully showed the picture of the single-minded unity of youth rank, united close around the great party, which is vigorously advancing along the road of independence, Songun and socialism in the spirit of heroic youths of Mt. Paektu.

Fireworks were shot up to the sky.

The evening gala and the torchlight procession clearly demonstrated the immutable faith and will of the five million young vanguard members determined to creditably discharge their honorable mission and duty as reserve forces, advancing group and wing of the WPK and as the masters of the great Paektusan youth power in carrying out the cause of building a thriving socialist nation under the revolutionary banner of the great Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, rallied close around Marshal Kim Jong Un.
