The message extended sincere congratulations to Kim Jong Un upon his election as chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea at its Seventh Congress.

The message expressed hope that after assuming great yet heavy responsibility Kim Jong Un would register bigger success and the friendly DPRK and its people achieve progress and prosperity under his wise guidance.

The holding of the Seventh Congress of the WPK at a time when the friendly DPRK is facing all challenges marked an occasion of clearly showing the stand of the WPK to build a thriving socialist nation, effect great innovations in building an economic giant and wage an uninterrupted struggle to achieve the final victory on the firm basis of the basic idea of the WPK taking it as the basic purpose to realize the independence of the working masses and the Songun political line on bolstering up the defence capabilities of the country, the message noted.

The Congress for Founding the Central Organizing Committee of the Communist Party of North Korea held in October, 1945 was a historic event which brought about a basic turn in building a new society in Korea and hewing out the destiny of the Korean people and the recent Seventh Congress of the WPK is the continued course of the struggle of the WPK to round off the anti-imperialist democratic revolution and continue to push forward the revolution and construction according to the line of the three revolutions--ideological, technological and cultural, it said, and went on: On this occasion, I recollect the great feats of HE Kim Jong Il, the state leader and great patriot, who led the people of your country to victory in the worst circumstances, pursuant to the transparent idea and line of resistance while firmly adhering to the basic line of the Korean revolution based on the Juche idea after fully personifying the idea and trait of HE Kim Il Sung, the founder and eternal Pres

ident of the DPRK.
