Art Performance Given in Tokyo in Celebration of Kim Jong Un's Election as WPK Chairman

Pyongyang, May 17 (KCNA) -- An art performance was given at the Korean Hall of Culture in Tokyo on May 14 in celebration of supreme leader Kim Jong Un's election as chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). Among the audience were Chairman Ho Jong Man, Vice-Chairmen Nam Sung U and Pae Ik Ju of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), Vice-Chairman Pae Jin Gu who doubles as director general of the General Affairs Department, Vice-Chairman Pak Ku Ho, Vice-Chairperson Kang Chu Ryon who doubles as chairwoman of the Central Standing Committee of the Korean Democratic Women's Union in Japan, Chairman of the Central Audit Committee of Chongryon Hong In Hum, advisors of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and its department directors, leading officials of organizations and enterprises of Chongryon, chairpersons of Chongryon headquarters in Kanto area, officials of Chongryon, Koreans in Japan, teaching staff and students of Korean University and student representatives of Korean high schools. The performance was given by the Kumgang-san Opera Troupe and Korean youth and students in Japan. Put on the stage were the song and dance "Kim Il Sung's Nation Is Best", male solo "Green Pine on Nam Hill", female solo "Ardent Desire" and other colorful numbers. The audience was excited to watch an image of Kim Jong Un finding himself among the people appearing on the background. Choruses "My Motherland Full of Love" and "We Will Protect Flag of Republic Generation after Generation" presented by the members of the children's union in Kanto area and dance "Celebration Dance" given by the Kumgang-san Opera Troupe revved up the festive atmosphere. The performers successfully represented the will of Koreans in Japan to creditably carry forward the tradition of patriotism while believing and following Kim Jong Un only and weathering all difficulties and trials by their concerted efforts. |
