According to an official concerned, the stations conduct their activities in close touch with Pyongyang-based Non-smoking Research Center.

Their action programs include the consultation among smokers and the service of nonsmoking health products recognized by WHO as well as medicines for treating diseases caused by smoking.

Meanwhile, a work is going on to develop more tobacco substitutes.

In recent years, an anti-smoking campaign has been intensified across the country.
