Rodong Sinmun Rebukes U.S. Accusations against DPRK's Satellites

Pyongyang, May 19 (KCNA) -- False stories about the DPRK's satellites are floating in the U.S. A national defence expert of the U.S. said there are two satellites of north Korea flying past the air over the U.S. mainland. He noted these satellites have likelihood of de-orbiting its course to directly strike the U.S. or emitting powerful electromagnetic wave capable of disrupting the state power grid when they blow up themselves in the air. The U.S. moves to cope with this are at a snail's pace, he added.

Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Thursday says that this is a brainchild unique to the U.S. which is steeped in inveterate repugnance and intention for standing in confrontation with the DPRK.

It goes on:

It is none other than the U.S. that spearheaded the illegal "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK, labeling its launch of satellites for peaceful purposes as a "missile launch".

The U.S. stubborn insistence that the DPRK's satellites pose a "threat" is aimed to justify its frantic efforts to use outer space for military purposes and monopolize space and thus outstrip its potential rivals and hold supremacy over Asia-Pacific at any cost.

No matter how desperately the U.S. may try to bring down the DPRK while putting extreme political, economic and military pressure on the DPRK, this will only be taken as a noisy racket of a coward by the international community.

It is a foolish dream for the U.S. to seek to get something from cooperation for putting pressure on the DPRK.
