DPRK Sportspersons Resolved to Make Fresh Successes at Int'l Games

Pyongyang, May 19 (KCNA) -- Sportspersons in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea are resolved to register signal successes at international games and contribute to building a sporting powerhouse. Kim Pyong Sik, vice-minister of Physical Culture and Sports, told KCNA: In his historic report made at the 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea, supreme leader Kim Jong Un clearly indicated the way for turning the country into a sporting powerhouse. We will devote all our wisdom and energies to raising the nation's sports techniques to the world level at an early date and stirring up the sports zeal throughout the country, true to his high intention. Our efforts will be concentrated on the work to put all trainings on a scientific basis and perfect Korean-style playing tactics so as to clinch more gold medals at Olympiad and other international games. Kim Thae Song, head of the Kigwancha Sports Team, said: The athletes and coaches of our team are now hardening their will to exalt the dignity and honor of Juche Korea by bagging more gold medals. We will fully display the ideological firmness, perseverance, speed and skills in all games and make preferential efforts to training talented athletes. My team will take the lead in a drive for carrying into practice the WPK's plan on building a sports powerhouse. |
