The meeting discussed the issues of vitalizing the activities of breaking the barrier of separation and reunifying the country as early as possible by pooling efforts of Koreans.

The meeting consulted practical measures for thoroughly preserving and implementing the three principles of national reunification clarified in the July 4 joint statement, the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration so as to promote the work for national reconciliation, unity and improvement of the north-south relations and pave a wide avenue to peace and independent reunification. It decided to positively push ahead with joint national events and colorful solidarity activities.

The meeting made public a joint press release:

1. All-Korean Committee for Implementation of June 15 Joint Declaration decided to splendidly hold a joint national event marking the 16th anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration this year in Kaesong and a joint national event marking the 71st anniversary of national liberation in Seoul with the attendance of political parties, organizations and personages from all spectrum at home and abroad in order to rev up the atmosphere for peace and independent reunification of the country and improvement of the north-south relations and promote contacts, visits and solidarity and alliance among peoples from all walks of life that had been suspended.

2. All-Korean Committee decided to make every possible effort to ensure colorful events for solidarity and reunification of all fields and regional organizations of the north and the south such as religion, education, science and media, including the August 15 football match of workers of the north and the south for reunification, cultural event and meeting of women organizations, event of farmers for reunification, history, culture and sports activities for solidarity by youth and students.

3. All-Korean Committee will make positive efforts to remove the ever-worsening military danger on the Korean peninsula and build a permanent and durable peace mechanism and actively push ahead with different activities to force Japan to make an apology and reparation for the past crimes committed by the Japanese imperialists against the Korean people such as sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army, forced labor and military conscription, and achieve national sovereignty and right to existence of Koreans in Japan.

4. All-Korean Committee decided to continue the all-round solidarity activities and expansion of organization for national concord and development of the reunification movement despite any ordeals and difficulties as a solidarity organization for reunification movement in the north and the south and abroad involving Koreans from all walks of life at home and abroad.
